four pm blues

On the days that I am in my office, I get the 4:00pm blues. I think of all the other things I could be doing if I didn't have to work, but especially around 4:00pm it gets even harder to work. You see, at 4:00pm on channel 57, ABC Family replays Gilmore Girl reruns. I'm a huge GG fan and really enjoyed watching the show when it was new and a part of the WB Network. But being able to have the luxury of watching GG at 4:00pm every week day means one very important thing to me--I am not at work. So many days at 4:00pm I am in the office, or worse yet--in the car feeling my butt get flatter, but this is neither here nor there--thinking of what Rory or Lorelai are doing, what witty comments are they throwing around? What are their crazy friends doing? How is Stars Hollow doing? Are Taylor and Luke fighting?

Mike wanted to buy me the complete series collection for Christmas but I told him not too. When I buy a DVD it is the kiss of death--I never watch it. The truth is, I just really enjoy not knowing which episode from which season ABC Family will be playing....oh, to be home at four pm....

PS. It also plays at 10am but I don't really enjoy watching it then b/c:
1. It is on right after the 700Club or some other crazy-extreme show like that and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Its like Pat Robertson leaves a permanent stain on Lorelai and co. that lasts until about 12pm.
2. If I watch it at 4:00pm, I don't have to watch it at10am (unless of course, nothing else is on--which is most often the case) b/c its the rerun of the four pm show from the day before.

Forgots

I forgot I started this blog. It was a random 'home-alone-during-the-day' things I did... and now I wonder what I will do to fill the potentially endless pages of my small piece of the world wide web.

Nevermind, my everyday jibberjabber-ridiculousness overflowing from my random thoughts will fill my pages. I guess its more of a matter of who will read.

The Switch ... & snow, plus a dash of racism

The time has come where I can make the switch. The switch from the land of Xanga to the vastness of the Blogger. I know. I think most people made this switch some time ago--for some reason I fall into trends like this a little late. I jumped onto Xanga towards the end of the mass entrance into Xanga and now here I am on Blogger, many moons after people thought, 'huh, I may be too old for Xanga'.

We're supposed to get about a foot of snow today--all the schools in the greater Schaumburg area are closed, the roads are hoooor-ible and my boss told us yesterday that we'd probably be working from home. This morning I find out that we have to go in, that is unless we'd like to take a day off. Later I find out that the Big Bosslady told my Bosslady that we have to go in today b/c the weather is not that bad in the city. I refuse to go in and take a vacation day. I find out from my coworker who doesn't have any vacation time to take that the Big Bosslady ends up NOT showing up and no one but my department is in the office. Unbelievable, but yet so expected. This is also the Big Bosslady who asked me if I knew Sally. Y'know, Sally of "Sally Beauty Supply". Why would I know Sally? B/c it seems like "all the Ko-reans own Sally's". Are you Sally?
